- Alex Ortiz Great and eye-opening article from Partnership for Public Service and Accenture Federal Services on how federal employers can position themselves to attract strong early career talent. - Federal employees need to build a deeper pipeline of early talent: only 7% of the federal workforce is under 30, and while there's been a 13% increase in federal employees under the age of 30 in recent years (per Office of Management and Budget data), a huge gap remains relative to projected workforce retirement numbers- per Handshake data, 73% of 2024 graduates surveyed are more likely to apply to a job after seeing employer content, so it's critical for federal employers to brand themselves and tell their brand story digitally in places where this talent pool is most active- 40% of the skills that were around in the Fortune 500 in 2017 are no longer relevant, just 7 years later! If you win the opportunity everyone will say “it was a lock” and you will receive little or no credit for the win.
